Designated Mentor

NOTE: The remainder of this page describes the Designated Mentor program but unfortunately, this feature is not available currently due to technical reasons.

UB David has a series of Bible-based online courses with well over 900 lessons available for free. These lessons, mostly from The Mailbox Club International, have for over 40 years proven to be effective for salvation, spiritual growth and Christian discipleship. They are geared to children as young as five years old right through pre-teens, youth and adults.

Most of the online lessons are accessed by individuals interested in personal spiritual growth. However, this online resource has been set up—at great expense—in such a way that camps, churches and other organizations can use it with their own people.

The lessons and the student records are all linked in a secure online database with a self-correcting feature for the lessons. We have included a special field in the registration form which can identify specific groups of students, say from a particular church or camp or organization which is approved in advance by David & Jonathan. That church/camp group can designate someone to be their Designated Mentor. This person is then given limited access to a partial record of each of “their” students so they can track how they’re doing with the lessons and encourage them in their ongoing growth in the faith.

The mentor system is like having a bank atm access card

Think of this access as similar to a bank card. The Mentor Agreement is like an application for a bank access card. When we approve your Mentor Agreement and "Jonathan name" your "account number" is secured. When we agree on your User ID and password, you have your "access card" which is uniquely yours.

This mentor "access card" will enable you to go online and see your own students—their names, email addresses, birthday, and list of lessons completed regardless of whether they are doing paper lessons or online lessons. In the case of online students, you will also receive, via email, any personal comments or questions they enter when completing lesson quizzes.

The amount of benefit you and your students receive from the mentor system will entirely depend on how much/well you use your "access card."

It's free. It's powerful. And it can be a significant tool in helping you disciple young people from your camp or church or personal network.

Since this entire system is online these 900+ lessons can become a valuable resource for evangelical groups anywhere in the world with Internet access.

If you are interested in further information about this free “Mentor” system please .

When your "students" do not have Internet access

We have another variation of the "Designated Mentor" program for cases like this. It's called "Designated Mentor: Paper Plus" …i.e. paper plus Internet. To see how this works, go to this page.

For more specific information about this free, valuable Mentor program, see the Designated Mentor Agreement (pdf).

NOTE: If it is not readily possible for you to print and mail the Agreement Form back to us, please stating your agreement to all documents/statements listed in the final paragraph on page 2 of the Form, and giving us all the information requested at the bottom of page 2 under the sub-heading “Camp/Ministry/Church”.
