Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

5. Sin had its beginnings in the universe when

Lucifer (or Satan) rebelled against God.

Eve disobeyed God by eating an apple.

Adam and Eve killed an animal for food.

You need to read all of Genesis 3 to find what the Bible says about sin coming into the world. Genesis 3:4-6 and Romans 5:12 give the outline.

(Genesis 3:4-6) "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

(Romans 5:12) "Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

6. Sin came into the world when

Satan was expelled from heaven.

.Adam and Eve listened to Satan and disobeyed God in order to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Romans 5:19: "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."

7. The results of the sin of Adam and Eve were

that all humans are born as sinners but God has provided a way by which things can be made right.
